The 3rd Learning, Training and Teaching event of the PowerWorms Project was held in Bilbao Spain
The Learning, Training and Teaching event of the PowerWorms Project was held in Bilbao Spain between 26 February and 1 March 2024. We observed the technical knowledge and experience that Spain has in vermicompost production and organic waste management. We had the chance to examine the success of partially small-scale local planning and implementation in organic waste management, on the example of the town of Larrabetzu. We had the opportunity to examine the successes they achieved in soil health and plant productivity with regenerative agriculture practices during the visit to SOILIK, a successful cooperative model. We listened to young volunteers about the work done by Vizcaya College students in the field of worm compost production and the projects they carried out with sustainable environmental awareness.
